Ryan Wang Becomes LMF Ambassador!

We are so pleased to announce our newest Ambassador for LMF - award-winning pianist Ryan Wang!

Ryan Wang is a Canadian pianist acclaimed for his exceptional talent and achievements at a young age. Born in Vancouver, he began playing the piano at age 4 and by 6, he had already graced the stage at Carnegie Hall and appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Currently 17, Ryan is a music scholar at Eton College in the UK, studying under Gareth Owen. In May 2024, he earned his Artist Diploma from the École Normale de Musique de Paris, becoming the youngest ever recipient of the Prix Cortot . His performance of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales led to his victory in the 2024 BBC Young Musician competition

Ryan's concert career spans Europe, Asia, and North America, with performances at venues such as Fondation Louis Vuitton, Salle Cortot, and Fazioli Concert Hall. He has also appeared on RTHK Radio 4, CCTV 4, CBC Music, and Radio Classique . His accolades include First Prize and Audience Award at the 18th Animato International Chopin Competition in 2024, and recognition as a Young Steinway Artist .

We spoke to Ryan about becoming an Ambassador:
