The Big Give - Champions for Children 2023

We are ready for summer and for the Big Give Champions for Children Campaign 2023! For two weeks in June, every pound you donate to the London Music Fund will be matched by our friends at The Childhood Trust, doubling the impact for LMF and for the young musicians we support.

What is The Big Give – Champions for Children?

The Big Give – Champions for Children is an online match funding campaign run by the Big Give online donation platform. This campaign will double your donation with the match funding from The Childhood Trust.

How does it work?

From 6 June – 20 June 2023, online donations to our The Big Give – Champions for Children campaign page will be matched by The Childhood Trust

All donations will go directly towards our work and programmes, transforming under-served communities by enabling children to access dedicated funding for music education including tuition, mentoring and inspiring projects.

All donations of any size will be doubled up to until the match funding runs out, when we meet our overall target of £40,000.

When does it all start?

The live campaign kicks off on #GivingTuesday (Tuesday 6 June 2023) at midday (12:00), and ends two weeks later on Tuesday 20 June 2023 at midday.

Why should I donate to the London Music Fund?

We believe that music and music education should be a right, not a privilege. Accessing high-quality music education is sadly out of reach for many children, due their socio-economic background. Our mission is to transform under-served communities by enabling children to access dedicated funding for tuition, mentoring and projects. Our vision is that every child who demonstrates significant ability, enthusiasm and commitment to music is given the opportunity to develop their potential.

We have three core programmes. Our Scholarship programme gives committed children from low-income families four years of funding and a dedicated, bespoke programme of instrumental learning and mentoring. Our Partnership programme provides funding for collaborative projects in inspiring venues, enabling hundreds of young musicians to learn from and perform alongside professionals. Our third programme, Amplify London, supports non-formal, grassroots music projects across the capital.

The more funds we receive, the more lives we can change through the power of music. Our programmes have a wide-reaching and long-term legacy; you can read many amazing success stories from the young musicians and projects we have supported in our latest Impact Report.

How do I donate?

Here is the link to donate to our campaign – please note you won’t be able to donate until the campaign begins at 12:00 on Tuesday 6 June.
