Senior Scholars Then & Now

As we come towards the end of our 15th anniversary year, and prepare to welcome a new cohort of Scholars in October, we are celebrating some of the Senior Scholars who will be continuing their journey with us throughout the 2026–27 academic year. Each of them first came to London Music Fund as a Junior Scholar, and looking back at where their musical journeys began, it has been a pleasure to see how far they have come.

Georgina, Violin, Hillingdon Music Service, Senior Scholar 2024–present

Georgina received her Junior Scholarship Award in 2019 with Hillingdon Music Service, and this year she spoke on stage in front of more than 300 guests at our 15th Anniversary Concert, one of the highlights of our anniversary year. She graduated from our Junior Scholarship Programme in 2023 and joined our Senior Scholarship Programme in 2024, and has flourished ever since, growing into a thoughtful, assured and accomplished young violinist. Watching her progress has been a privilege for everyone at LMF. Georgina will continue her Senior Scholarship with us throughout the 2026–27 academic year, and we cannot wait to see what the year ahead holds for her.

Bishop, Drums, Ealing Music Service, Senior Scholar 2024–present

Seven years after his scholarship began, Bishop continues to make the most of every musical opportunity that comes his way. He first joined us in 2019 as a Junior Scholar with Ealing Music Service, learning the drums, and remained on the programme until 2023 before joining our Senior Scholarship Programme in 2024. Throughout that time, he has shown a real commitment to his music-making, refining his technique and growing noticeably in confidence behind the kit. We are delighted that Bishop will continue with us as a Senior Scholar throughout the 2026–27 academic year, and look forward to seeing what he achieves next.

Eleanor, Violin, Lambeth Music Service, Senior Scholar 2025–present

Eleanor's musical journey with London Music Fund began in 2019, when she joined our Junior Scholarship Programme as a violin Scholar with Lambeth Music Service. After completing the programme in 2023, she returned to us as a Senior Scholar in 2025, and we are thrilled that she is now continuing into her second year. Eleanor has always brought wonderful dedication, resilience and a genuine love of music to everything she does, qualities that will serve her brilliantly as she progresses. It has been fantastic to watch her go from strength to strength as a violinist, and we look forward to cheering her on as she reaches exciting new milestones this year.

Ruby, Viola, violin and bass guitar, Camden Music Service, Senior Scholar 2026–27

Ruby joined London Music Fund in 2021 as a Junior Scholar with Camden Music Service, and has since become one of our most versatile young musicians. Over the past four years she has developed her skills across the viola, violin and bass guitar, moving comfortably between instruments and embracing the wide range of musical opportunities and experiences that have come with them. This October, Ruby joins our Senior Scholarship Programme for the first time. We are delighted to continue supporting her as she builds on everything she has achieved so far as a Junior Scholar and we cannot wait to see what she accomplishes this year.

Watching Georgina, Bishop, Eleanor and Ruby grow, both as musicians and as young people, has been one of the greatest rewards of our work, and a wonderful way to celebrate our 15th anniversary year. We are proud to be supporting them through 2026–27, alongside the new cohort of Senior Scholars who joined us this October, and we cannot wait to see what the year ahead holds for them all.
