March Scholars of the Month

Our Scholars of the Month for March are twin sisters Sienna and Suraya, who began their Scholarships in 2021 with Ealing Music Service. Sienna and Suraya have both been described as naturally musical by their tutors and, as a result of their Scholarship, have both chosen to take music as a GCSE.

We asked Sienna and Suraya how they were finding their Scholarships so far:

Sienna

What has been your favourite moment of your Scholarship so far?

My favourite moment of my Scholarship has been being able to take part in various workshops and exploring different cultures through music.  

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I am looking forward to attending more concerts, playing at various events, and learning more skills.

What are your musical goals for the future?

I will be choosing Music as part of my GCSEs. My musical goal for the future is to become a professional musician. 

Suraya

What has been your favourite moment of your Scholarship so far?

My favourite moment has been taking part in workshops and making music in short amount of time.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

This year I’m looking forward to playing at events and learning new pieces.

What are your musical goals for the future?

My musical goal is to maybe become a professional musician. I will also be choosing Music as part of my GCSEs.
