Meet the Performers - Adrianna, Piano
Adrianna, Graduate Ambassador
We are delighted to introduce Adrianna, a Graduate Ambassador for LMF, who will be performing at our 15th Anniversary Concert on 27 April at Smith Square Hall. Adrianna began as Junior Scholar from 2014–18 and then continued as a Senior Scholar for 2022/23 and 2023/24 for violin and piano. Below, Adrianna shares her unique perspective on her journey with LMF and what she is looking forward to at the concert.
Why does music matter to you?
Music is a language far more powerful and universal than words, and unparalleled in its ability to bring people together. It is also a means through which to amplify your own experience of emotion and consciousness, whether through the music around you or the music you perform or compose.
Why is LMF’s work important to you?
The work of the LMF, namely to make music accessible to young people from all backgrounds, is very important to me because interacting with music can open up a whole new world of opportunities.
What is your role in the concert?
As a Graduate Ambassador, I am looking forward to joining the orchestra of current and past scholars for Sir Karl Jenkins’ Palladio, as well as the celebration piece at the end of the concert. I will also be performing a piece of solo piano music by Herbert Howells. He is better known for his choral music, but this piece has the same lusciously distinctive harmonic language.
What most excites you about the concert?
I am most excited to see everyone from the London Music Fund again - it has always been such a warm and welcoming environment. It will also be amazing to have Sir Karl Jenkins CBE himself come and conduct the Palladio!
