Scholars making music

As so many of our Scholars' concerts, lessons and even Grade exams have been cancelled we thought we would ensure that their hard work doesn't go to waste. We asked Scholars to send us a clip of them playing their instrument and have already had a fantastic response. The passion and commitment of our Scholars has always been amazing but we have been particularly impressed this week. We will therefore be releasing a series of short musical videos over the coming weeks to spread the joy of music from our London Music Fund family. Scholars could be playing anything from their own composition to a piece they had prepared for a Grade exam, the surprise is all part of the fun!

We hope you enjoy their performances!

Let us know what you think of our #ScholarsMakingMusic by getting in touch on Twitter or Facebook, or by email: georgina@londonmusicfund.org

The winners of the competition were announced in June, and you can find out who they are here.

We thought that we would save Francesca's lovely video for our final #ScholarsMakingMusic post as it is so beautiful and poignant. Francesca is also partly responsible for inspiring us to launch the #ScholarsMakingMusic series after her mum sent in some photos of her performing a concert online for her family in Italy all the way back in March. We therefore think it is right to complete what has been a wonderful way of spreading the joy of music by sharing Francesca's performance of 'Gabriel's Oboe' with you. We hope you enjoy it and that you have loved seeing our Scholars perform their favourite songs as much as we have.
